Niabi Zoo

Our first fun outing was going to the zoo.  It's in Illinois so we got to drive across one of the many bridges here that span the Mississippi River.  This river makes our Snake River look tiny!  We even saw a cargo boat going up the river.  It was opening week of the zoo so it was FREE!  A lot of the exhibits were covered in snow still so it's a good thing it was free.

Our first stop was the monkeys.  They were huddled up together to keep warm so we took a picture of our little Monkey!

Our next stop was the giraffes.  These were Marlee's favorite.  They were running in circles and every time they came close to us she would burst out laughing.  Sam found a video feature on our camera but you'll have to watch it sideways because we are still trying to figure out videos.

There is a cool bird exhibit here.  They have birds just hanging out in the middle of the exhibit and you can get pretty close to them.  We thought of Grandma Croft and how much she wouldn't like this exhibit!

Marlee has a hard time looking through the glass to see animals, unless they were brightly colored and moving :)  She went through most of the zoo on her dad shoulders instead of her stroller.

We went to the new with our new friends Wendy, Cameron and Alexa.  Marlee was happy to have a friend!  We had so much fun at the zoo!
